ENTERING YOUR DIRECT DEPOSIT ON VIP:
Faculty, staff, and students you now have the ability to enter
your Direct Deposit information on the VIP system. You may
access this new feature by going to
www.vip.sc.edu.
 After arriving at
the web address, login the VIP system. This enables you to
access all of your employment and University information. If
you previously established a pin number for the VIP system,
you may use this to log in to add, change and delete your
Direct Deposit information.
If you have not logged in before, you will be asked to use
your USC identification number (your social security number),
and your PIN (personal identification number). You will enter
your identification number in the first box, and then your PIN
number in the box under step 3, entitled “Are you faculty,
staff, or a student employee”. Your default PIN will be your
month and date of birth. After logging into the VIP system for
the first time, you will be asked to change your PIN number to
a different number for confidentiality.
If your PIN number is not working and you are a faculty or
staff member who was recently hired, your PIN number may not
be activated until the hiring process is complete. If you are
a faculty or staff employee and your PIN number needs to be
reset, please contact the Salary Administration office at
777-3111.

After logging into the system, you will see the opening
screen. Select the employment tab on the left side of the
page.

After entering the employment section of the web site, select
the “Payroll Direct Deposit” button to make any changes to
your Direct Deposit Form.
 The page that you
have selected will allow you to view any current information
you have set up for your Direct Deposit. The screen will show
your current Bank name, Transit/Routing Number, Account Number
and Type of account for your direct deposit. If, after
reviewing your current bank information, you wish to change or
stop your direct deposit, click on the “Change/Cancel Account”
button.

Once you are in the “Update Form”, you can make any changes to
your Transit Number or Account Number. You must also select
the account type as a Checking or Savings Account. Your
Transit number is the first set of 9 numbers located at the
bottom left hand corner of your personal check. The second set
of numbers is your account number. You can also Cancel your
direct deposit from this screen by checking the box to the
right of the “Cancel Paycheck Direct Deposit Enrollment”.
Finally, before your new Direct Deposit information can be
processed, you must check the box under the “Required” section
to confirm that all of your new data is accurate. This box is
called the electronic signature box, which gives Payroll
permission to process the information you have provided. Once
you are finished, click on the Update button under the
electronic signature box and your new information will be
complete.

 After completing
your new Direct Deposit information, you will receive a
confirmation page, notifying you that your Direct Deposit has
been successfully updated. After obtaining this page, you will
receive an e-mail notification showing the new changes that
will be reflected on your Direct Deposit.
