Provided each term by USC Postal Service and Student Mail Center to students residing in University Housing residence halls, Greek Village and assigned to a USC Box number.

Mail and parcels accepted from US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx and DHL only. (See "Campus Mailing Address" for proper address format.)

Perishable / Refrigerated Item
The USC Postal Service does not encourage perishable or refrigerated shipments as we do not have the facilities for storing these items.

Medications requiring refrigeration must be shipped directly to the Thompson Student Health Center for students to pick up.

Flower Deliveries
Due to their perishable and fragile nature, we do not accept flower deliveries from Florists.

Student Mail Center

• Located in the basement of the Russell House at 1400 Greene St., the Student Mail Center is the central location for 8,000 student mail boxes.
  
  
• Students and faculty may purchase stamps, send mail and ship parcels from the Customer Counter.
  
  
• Mail Supplies are also available for sale.
  Only cash, checks (with valid ID ) and the Carolina Card are accepted as payment of services at this location.

Student Mail Boxes

• All students assigned to University Housing and Greek Village residence halls are required to have a campus mail box for receiving University (intra-campus) and other inbound mail.
• Mail is sorted to assigned student mail box numbers.
• Students are encouraged to check and empty their mail boxes regularly.

Box Fee

• University Housing and Greek Village residents are charged a non-refundable $20.00 (non-prorated) box  fee  each term for the following required services:
  
  
  1. Mail service
  2. Forwarding and handling of mail for six (6) months at the end of each term or upon cancellation of University Housing or Greek Village residence hall assignments. **  

  ** USC Postal Service is responsible for the forwarding of USPS mail and parcels per Item b above.   
  UPS, FedEx and DHL will not forward parcels addressed to students at USC.  Items will be returned to sender by each respective shipper.

• USC Postal Service has sole discretion in the authorization of box fee refunds, credits or removals of box fees from student A/R accounts. 
  
  
• Box fee refunds, credits or removals are granted strictly on cancellation of University Housing or Greek Village residence hall contracts based on  non-enrollment or withdrawal from the University for current term at USC prior to the beginning of classes for each term.
  
  
•  Requests for box fee refunds or removals from student accounts due to non-enrollment or withdrawals from the University for current  term must be submitted by filling out the Refund/Removal form.  Requests will not be accepted via phone.
  
  
• No refunds, credits or removals will be granted after the beginning date of classes for each term, including for non-enrollment or withdrawals. (See information under “Important Dates” )

Off-Campus Students

• Students residing off campus who are enrolled for current term at USC may rent a campus mailbox in the Student Mail Center (Russell House) for the purpose of receiving mail and parcels for $30.00 per term:

  • Complete and submit the “Off Campus Box Rental Application” at the Student Mail Center.
