    Student Mail
Incorrect Mailing Addresses are the leading cause of mail delays to the University. The USPS has assigned USC a unique zip code to be used on all mail addressed to students assigned to mail boxes. The use of this unique zip code , 29225 , will help aid in a more timely receipt of student mail. See following example:

    Addressing Student Mail Correctly
    Name ( no nick names)
    University of South Carolina
    Box # (student’s assigned 5 digit mail box #)
    1400 Greene Street
    Columbia, SC 29225

    USPS recommendations
    • Use uppercase characters throughout the address
    • Place the city, state and zip code on the last line
    • Do not use punctuation marks
    • USC student mail should be addressed to the student using the 29225 zip code.
